Edmonton Oilers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today the annual matchup between the Oilers rookies and the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) champions, the University of Alberta Golden Bears, is set for Wednesday, September 16. For the first time in the game’s history, the two teams will shift from Clare Drake Arena and face off at Rexall Place starting at 7:00 p.m. For $30 each, tickets are available for purchase through edmontonoilers.com, as well as at all Ticketmaster locations starting Friday, August 28 at 10:00 AM.
Last year, the Oilers rookies were victorious in a 4-2 win over the CIS National Championship winning Golden Bears.
