The Edmonton Oilers are still staying the course.
General manager Craig MacTavish -- who admitted he didn't have much new to say from an impromptu media conference last month -- said in a season-ending address to media on Monday he is "more comfortable" with the foundation of the team that finished 28th place in the National Hockey League for a second straight year, prolonging the franchise's playoff drought to nine years.
"I feel like the situation certainly has improved over the last couple of years," said MacTavish, who took over as Oilers GM in May 2013.
"There was lots of work to do.
