Oilers acquire Lauri Korpikoski

Edmonton Oilers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, the club has acquired winger Lauri Korpikoski from the Arizona Coyotes, in exchange for centre Boyd Gordon.

Korpikoski, 28, spent last season with the Arizona Coyotes, posting 21 points (6G, 15A) and 12 penalty minutes in 69 games.

The 6’1”, 205-pound winger has appeared 469 career NHL games with the New York Rangers and the Arizona Coyotes, notching 159 points (68G, 91A) and 112 penalty minutes.

The Turku, Finland native has also played in 30 career playoff games, registering five points (2G, 3A) and six penalty minutes.
