Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet: Jaromir Jagr‘s time with the Calgary Flames is coming to an end and his days in the NHL could be numbered. His agent has permission to talk with teams, but there doesn’t appear to be much interest. Jagr has a knee injury and competing teams may need the roster spot and cap room. He could shut it down for the year and try again next year.
Aside from Connor McDavid, nobody is safe after the Oilers season is over.
New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson has had his name enter the rumor mill.
