WINDSOR, Ont. — Sometimes it comes at night before he falls asleep.
On other occasions, it arrives during one of those rare quiet moments in his hectic schedule.
Frequently, though, it happens: Connor McDavid dreams about the day his name is called at the NHL draft.
“Yeah, of course,” admits the Erie Otters centre, the most coveted No. 1 pick since the Pittsburgh Penguins grabbed Sidney Crosby in 2005.
“It’s hard not to daydream about stuff like that. It’s hard to even put into words what that’s going to mean. It’s going to be a fun day for sure.
