Penticton, B.C. – Centre Kyle Platzer swallowed hard after last year’s Edmonton Oilers’ training camp, knowing he had to get cracking offensively or he wasn’t going to get a pro contract.
He did just that with 81 points in junior in Owen Sound, and got a three-year deal this summer.
Now, Platzer, a fourth-round draft pick in 2013, has moved up the organizational chart with a bullet to where they consider him a strong prospect centre now.
