Trade rumors have been attacking the Edmonton Oilers for years. So many years, in fact, that it all dates back to when Wayne Gretzky was dealt. That trade with the Los Angeles Kings, orchestrated by Peter Pocklington, was the NHL’s largest trade in history. In fact, it showed that just about anyone can get traded. Anyone.
So in recent years, we’ve had Edmonton fans, aka the “Armchair GMs,” speak out. “Trade Taylor Hall!” they would cry.
Hall now leads the league with GWGs, is tied for fourth in the points and assists lead and is in sixth place for goals.
