Edmonton Oilers: Tyler Pitlick Injury ‘Doesn’t Look Too Good’

After scoring a goal early in the Oilers’ eventual 3-2 OT win over St. Louis Monday, he collided with Jori Lehtera during the second period. After that, Pitlick left the game, and would not return. Post-game, head coach Todd McLellan provided an update, but it was nowhere near optimistic for the 25-year-old.

“Right now, it doesn’t look too good,” McLellan told reporters. He will be evaluated Tuesday.

Pitlick defied all adversity and odds to finally make the NHL opening night roster this season. He has a point in three of his last four games and has eight goals and 11 points this season.
