The Edmonton Oilers made one of the riskiest, most controversial decisions of the off-season when they decided to trade star forward Taylor Hall in exchange for defenseman Adam Larsson. Despite the swiftness in the move, Head Coach Todd McLellan is more excited than he is concerned about the trade.
McLellan had a lot to say to the “Edmonton Journal” about the 23-year-old defenseman, as well as the trade and how it will not only bring in a strong defender, but change the team. He knows that every gift does come with a price.
“We had to make changes, and Taylor was the price we had to pay to get a defenseman,” McLellan said.
