The Edmonton Oilers will retire their primary blue jerseys after the regular season comes to a close. Once they enter the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Edmonton will switch full-time to their orange jerseys.
The Oilers’ orange uniforms have been their third jersey over the last two seasons. Next year, Adidas will replace Reebok as the jersey provider for the league. With this change, Edmonton will have to choose two uniforms – one home and one away – and eliminate a third jersey. They chose to keep the new orange style.
