Edmonton Oilers: Team Reportedly Make Hard Run at Lucic

The Edmonton Oilers seem ready to make upgrades come July 1, acquiring some big, physical forwards and defenders. Reportedly, one of those choices is to go hard after pending unrestricted free agent and Los Angeles King left winger Milan Lucic.

“Edmonton Journal” writer Jim Matheson believes that if Lucic becomes a free agent, the Oilers will definitely go for him.

Take this to the bank (Lucic Savings and Loan). They want him. But only for a certain period of time. Like we said, five years. Maybe $6 million per.”

The 28-year-old winger has already said he would be very open and interested to singing with Edmonton, and mutually, the Oilers appear to want him.
