First off, the Oilers couldn’t keep up the momentum that they had over several games. Whether or not it was the trip to California or the lack of home-ice advantage, the Ducks maintained control fo the game. They had constant possession of the puck, and the Oilers backed off and let them outwork the defence.
The first line was great. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl made constant pushes forward and were the reason for all the goals for Edmonton.
