Zack Kassian scored the lone goal about halfway through the third period, proving again to be the hero. He not only threw his weight around, putting on three hits through the night but also managed shots on net. He was also effective at both ends of the rink and helped the team manage plenty of opportunities.
One area where the Oilers struggled was in the physicality department. They were outhit 58-37, and though they managed plenty of hits, San Jose outworked Edmonton on the ice.
