Winger Anton Slepyshev is skating with the team and nearing a return. While he hasn’t been able to suit up for preseason action yet, he is getting back in the rhythm and working on nearing a return.
In 41 games with the Oilers last season, the Russian winger scored four goals and 10 points and was a plus-5. He also impressed with three goals and an outstanding offensive performance through the playoffs.
While he has pretty much proven his NHL worth, other young talents in Jujhar Khaira, Kailer Yamamoto and Jesse Puljujarvi have shown that they can bring a lot to the roster.
