The Edmonton Oilers just signed undrafted goalie Nick Ellis from Providence College to a two year entry-level deal starting next year.
Ellis had very good numbers this year in Providence with a 25-7-4 record while putting up a 0.936 save percentage and a GAA of 1.80. This was Ellis’s first year as a starter after being a backup for the two previous years where he had solid numbers as well. In 2013/14 he had a 0.904 save percentage and a GAA of 2.35 in 7 games of work.
In 2014/15 he had 0.910 save percentage and a GAA of 2.
