There has been a lot of talk and threads on the internet the past few weeks about expectations set on the Edmonton Oilers for next season. It isn’t that hard to envision that concept on how poorly this team tanked last year with the best player in the world leading the charge.
Connor McDavid was one of the few bright spots for that team last season and no criticism should be heading his way at all. Some of the blame should be aimed at Todd McLellan and his coaching. There were times that he didn’t utilize the right matches to try to give the Oilers the best chance to win a lot of games.
