Though the Edmonton Oilers have no chance at Travis Hamonic anymore, considering he has rescinded his trade request, there may be sunlight breaking through the gloomy clouds.
According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, Colorado Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie is “very likely” to be traded.
“I think he’s definitely in play,” Friedman said on 630 CHED Friday, according to the “Edmonton Journal.” “Absolutely. I do think Tyson Barrie is going to go.”
If Barrie is indeed on the trading block, and if the Avalanche are looking to let him go, I would say that he would be a decent candiate for the Oilers.
