Edmonton Oilers Rumors: Could Chris Kreider Be a Target?

According to Sportsnet’s Mark Spector, general manager Peter Chiarelli is reportedly exploring the trade market for more scoring. In addition to this, Elliotte Friedman joined in the speculation, wondering if New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider could be of interest to the Oilers, who average just 2.2 goals per game.

The 26-year-old has been struggling to start the year, registering just two goals and five points through 12 games. He is also lacklustre in the faceoff dot so far this season, winning just a third of his faceoffs. However, he is still playing a strong, physical game on the backcheck with 27 hits and 12 shot blocks.
