For Oilers Now on 630CHED, it was quite the interesting afternoon show. Edmonton Oilers General Manager Peter Chiarelli was on, and he discussed trades, the upcoming draft and more.
The Oilers got moved down to fourth in the NHL 2016 Draft Lottery, and now, Chiarelli claims that multiple teams have already called to inquire about dealing for the pick.
“I’ve had four or five teams call me already,” Chiarelli said.
The top three picks — which are projected to be Auston Matthews, Patrik Laine and Jesse Puljuärvi in that order — were the most valuable assets to come out of the draft.
