The Edmonton Oilers added Rob Klinkhammer to their roster not too long ago, but he didn’t prove to truly fit into the system. Though he’s a big, physical guy, the 6-foot-3, 214-pound left winger never showed his strength in the NHL. Now, he’s headed out of North America and to Russia after signing with the KHL’s Dinamo Minsk.
Klinkhammer played 14 games with the Oilers this past season, scoring one goal and putting up a minus-6. He spent most of the past year in the AHL with the Bakersfield Condors, where he put up much more impressive numbers.
