The Edmonton Oilers have reportedly signed forward Jere Sallinen, who currently plays for Jokerit in the Kontinental Hockey League, to a three-year entry level contract worth $792,500, according to many European news outlets and his player profile on NHL.com.
The 25-year-old Finnish left winger was first drafted in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild. This year for Jokerit, Sallinen has tallied eight goals and 11 assists through 50 games. In 2012-13, he had his statistically best campaign while playing with Liiga, where he scored 42 points (15 G, 27 assists) in 57 games.
