The Edmonton Oilers are one of many NHL teams that have reportedly reached out to the St. Louis Blues camp in order to inquire about defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk, per multiple sources.
Shattenkirk has been rumored to be available since earlier this season. He has one year left on his contract with the Blues and is said to be on the block. Among the other teams inquiring, the Boston Bruins and the New York Rangers are supposedly making strong pushes. However, just because a team calls does not mean the deal between those teams is 100 percent done; it means that they all must outbid each other with the best offer.
