As the draft looms and the Edmonton Oilers dive head-first into the offseason, Peter Chiarelli’s watch is ticking. Now, it seems that he is likely to trade away one of their “core” star players.
According to 630 CHED Oilers Now host Bob Stauffer, that player will either be long-time centre Ryan Nugent-Hopkins or winger Taylor Hall.
“…Do I think Taylor Hall could be traded? I don’t want to see Taylor Hall traded but he gets you the most,” Stauffer said. “Ryan Nugent-Hopkins gets you the second most. To me, right now, Jordan Eberle, I would say it’s better than 50 percent chance one of Hall or Nugent-Hopkins goes.
