The Edmonton Oilers have recalled forward Zack Kassian from their AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors, general manager Peter Chiarelli announced this morning.
In four games with the Condors, Kassian has a goal and six PIM. He has played well enough to earn a call-up from the Oilers prior to their bout with the San Jose Sharks tomorrow. For Kassian, this is a second chance, an opportunity for him to redeem himself after undergoing substance abuse treatment from the NHL.
