The Edmonton Oilers have reassigned forward Jujhar Khaira to the Bakersfield Condors Thursday afternoon, GM Peter Chiarelli announced.
Khaira’s first NHL stint was a memorable one, as the Oilers prospect was the third-ever Punjabi player to play in the National Hockey League. He had two assists and a fight in 12 games up with the Oilers.
This move is likely to make space for Iiro Pakarinen to return to the lineup, as he is expected to replace Khaira and return to the fourth line for Friday’s tilt with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
