The Edmonton Oilers have signed right winger Tyler Pitlick to a one-year extension, General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced Friday afternoon.
The 6-foot-2, 192 pound winger did not play with the Edmonton Oilers this past season, but did appear in 37 games with the Oilers’ AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors, putting up 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists). He has played 27 NHL games with the Oilers over the past three seasons, scoring three goals with the Oilers.
This signing is odd, coming at a time where this is the only move the Oilers have made in a period of time.
