The Edmonton Oilers 2015-16 roster is a little more in focus, now that the club has dealt with it’s pending Restricted Free Agents.
1. It should come as no surprise that Justin Schultz was qualified. I know some were hoping this would not happen, but that would have been stunning mismanagement of the asset by Peter Chiarelli. And based upon a small but growing sample to-date, the new Edmonton Oilers General Manager has a higher IQ and batting average than that. The defender’s $3.67m contract certainly seems at odds with the serious case of The Yips that this kid has developed.
