Chiarelli explained how the team still had hope in his off-season acquisitions like Milan Lucic, and he wanted to see how the team played out. Therefore, he pretty much declared the team will stay away from being big buyers at the deadline.
“I’m satisfied with where we are,” Chiarelli told the media. “I haven’t liked the last little bit, but it’s a long season. If we make the playoffs I’d be ecstatic, because it really helps the development of these players.
