The Edmonton Oilers made some signings and pickups today, but according to Sportsnet, the Oilers are not likely to deal Nail Yakupov, and the team could be done at the deadline.
The Oilers are not likely to move Yakupov, mainly due to the injury that came to Benoit Pouliot in Sunday’s 3-1 win over the New York Islanders. It appears that Pouliot may have a separated shoulder, and even though he still needs to undergo tests and evaluations from doctors, Todd McLellan has said that Pouliot will be out “long-term.”

General manager Peter Chiarelli reportedly told Joe McDonald of ESPN that the Oilers will likely not move “Yakcity,” and will need him to move up to the second line, alongside Jordan Eberle and Connor McDavid.
