The Edmonton Oilers may have a chance at not just some upgraded defenseman, but a long-time tough guy and former Bruin.
According to ESPN Insider Pierre LeBrun, Milan Lucic has reportedly declared interest in joining Edmonton, led by former Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli.
“As [Pierre Lebrun] just reported on Insider Trading, Lucic very open to signing in [Edmonton] if things don’t work out in [Los Angeles], and the deal is right,” TSN’s James Duthie tweeted Friday.
Lebrun wrote a bit on this in his ESPN Rumblings, saying that the Oilers would definitely look to take Lucic off the market almost immediately.
