Edmonton Oilers: McDavid Could Be Named Captain Twice

Connor McDavid is the face of the Oilers franchise, and is on pace to become not only a top player on the team, but one of the best players in the National Hockey League.

Thanks to a clavicle injury, McDavid was sidelined for three months, and his season was cut to 45 games. Still, he put up 48 points (16 G, 32 A) and was a Calder finalist, and caught the attention of fellow players and coaches, the NHL and its fans worldwide.

If the 19-year-old were to become captain of the Oilers, he would be the youngest player to don the “C” in league history at less than 19 years and 273 days old.
