The Edmonton Oilers are reportedly still looking for a centre to sign to a PTO, and General Manager Peter Chiarelli mentioned how they have made an offer to one centre and have yet to hear back. One player that is definitely on the Oilers radar is free agent Mike Richards.

The speculation began after Bob Stauffer and Jack Michaels mentioned that the team could have interest in the 31-year-old. “Edmonton Journal” columnist David Staples pointed out that because of Michaels’ close relationship with the team, this “interest” could be true after all.
