Edmonton Oilers May Consider Keeping Fourth-Overall Pick

The Edmonton Oilers may have not been too happy to see their pick drop to fourth overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft Lottery, but Peter Chiarelli is still confident that the Oilers can get a good player from it, whether it stems from the pick itself, or from a resulting trade.

However, looking at the situation as it changes, the Oilers may very well want to hang on to the pick, since there are a couple of gems they could probably take away. One of them, of course, is Matthew Tkachuk.

Son of former NHL Keith Tkachuk, Matthew is a big, tough young forward who plays an incredibly interesting game, one combined with physicality, aggression and offensive ability.
