If you’re an Edmonton Oilers fan, you know the pain that rolls around every April. Ever since the Oilers fell to the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2006 NHL Stanley Cup Championship, they have not been back to the playoffs. Though it may seem like yesterday, it has in fact been a long 10 year drought.
Now, as the Oilers look forward, with new management in Peter Chiarelli, new coaching in Todd McLellan and a new hope in Connor McDavid, they look toward making it into the NHL Postseason.
