Edmonton Oilers Ink Jordan Oesterle to One-Year Extension

The Edmonton Oilers have signed a good defenseman that is already on their roster and deserving of a deal. Jordan Oesterle has been signed to a one-year extension, General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced Monday.

Oesterle proved to be one of the better Oilers on the backend. The left-handed defender played 17 games up with the Oilers this past season after playing 44 games with the Bakersfield Condors.

With the AHL affilate, Oesterle put up 25 points (four goals, 21 assists) and was a plus-1. He was later called up to the Oilers for the remainder of the year, putting up five assists and a plus-1 rating.
