The Edmonton Oilers may not have made plenty of moves so far as the off-season continues, but they did make a two very big splashes. The first was trading away Taylor Hall in exchange for Adam Larsson, and the second was signing Milan Lucic to a seven-year, $42 million deal.
Though these are the only two big moves that have taken place thus far for the Oilers this offseason, these additions surely enough make the team much more improved than they once were.
First off, let’s take a look at the Hall trade. While it’s always upsetting to see a franchise “core” player go, this move was necessary in order to change the culture of the team.
