It’s a tough time to be Edmonton Oilers fan right now. All the hype around the new-look Oilers over the summer seems like a lifetime ago following the team’s worst effort of the season on Monday night with a 3-0 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. The last place Oilers definitely need a shake up and it’s not going to come via trade – at least not right away – so other players need to step up. And this is where I think Iiro Pakarinen should get the chance to play an expanded role with the Oilers.
