This was the final season that the NHL would have Reebok as the official jersey provider of the NHL. Now, the sweaters will be Adidas, and it’s even possible that ads will be placed on jerseys. However, Gary Bettman said at the All-Star Game that the NHL has not decided to move forward with advertisements on jerseys and that the league takes great pride in its jerseys.
The new Adidas jerseys will be like the ones worn at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. However, the switch allows for only two sweaters, home and away, and no alternate uniform.
