On Thursday evening, the Edmonton Oilers announced that assistant coaches Keith Acton and Craig Ramsay had been relieved of their duties behind the Oilers bench.

Acton had spent the past 2 years behind the Oilers bench while Ramsay had only been coaching the Oilers for 1 year. Relieving Acton and Ramsay of their duties is a continuation of the house cleaning that the Oilers have done this season.
