The Edmonton Oilers may still be in need of another defenseman to fill out more depth down the right side, and were recently rumored to be speaking to Eric Gryba, who spent the past season with Edmonton as an attempted solution to strengthen the right side of the defensive corps.
Along with him, the Oilers acquired Griffin Reinhart, and hoped that both would provide depth and an answer to their problem. While Reinhart didn’t exactly work out for the Oilers, they did get a decent performance from Gryba. However, they chose not to renew him before July 1, and he has been on the free agency market all summer.
