The Edmonton Oilers have a lot of problems to address when it comes to their lopsided defense, however, there are plenty of bright spots as well. Some of the stories, including the feel-good story of Brandon Davidson, show a lot of potential in the Oilers young group of defensemen. when looking at the group, one man stands tall, and it is Oscar Klefbom.
Despite a short campaign in 2015-16, Klefbom was still the best defenseman among the Oilers group, and is probably the best man they have on the roster. The 6-foot-3, 219-pound Swede put up 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 30 games, and he probably would have had a lot better numbers if his season was interrupted by recurring staph infection.
