Edmonton Oilers Darnell Nurse Suspended Three Games

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse has been suspended for three games, due to an altercation he had with Roman Polak on Tuesday.

The Oilers defender had stood up for his teammate Matt Hendricks, who went into the board. Though it wasnt exactly Polak’s fault that Hendricks got hit into the board, and because it was an accident, Nurse was trying to send a message and express some fight in a frustrating loss. So, he went after Polak, injuring him in a very one-sided fight.

Nurse’s three-game suspension comes from the NHL’s Rule 46.
