As the preseason starts to wane to an end, the Edmonton Oilers made more cuts. The Oilers are taking these cuts seriously and are closer to revealing their opening night roster.
Edmonton assigned Jujhar Khaira, Mitch Moroz, Eetu Laurikainen and Joey LaLeggia to the Bakersfield Condors. They also placed Taylor Beck and David Musil on waivers for the purpose of reassignment.
One of the most shocking cuts was Khaira, who seemed ready to compete for a fourth-line spot. However, he did struggle greatly Friday against Winnipeg, which obviously hurt his chances. It looks like Edmonton is taking every performance seriously, and one rough night could translate to a cut.
