In Game 2 against the Ducks Friday, Talbot made 39 saves on 40 shots. He was incredibly between the pipes, sprawling across, displaying quick reaction time and acrobatic movement. He leads all postseason goaltenders with six wins and two shutouts.
With a .934 save mark and 2.02 GAA through eight games, he has shown incredible ability and is proving why he can be this team’s number one man for years to come.
Besides Henrik Lundqvist, Talbot has faced the most shots out of any other goaltender in the playoffs and has also made the most saves. He displays great confidence and knows how to handle the puck, while also coming in clutch under pressure.
