The Russian winger has three goals and eight points in 33 games this season and has been fighting to keep a spot in the lineup. With Iiro Pakarinen recently making a return from injury, Slepyshev found himself on the outs. Back in the lineup Tuesday against Dallas, there is plenty for Slepyshev to prove to this team.

With the Oilers’ offence failing to convert of late, Slepyshev needs to show that he is ready to make a key impact in the offensive rush. This means that he needs to be on his game, using his speed and offensive awareness to start the rush and help Edmonton score.
