So far this year, luck hasn’t been on the Edmonton Oilers end. It all started last season with the bad start, and it kept piling up soon afterward. The media and the fans kept pointing the finger at anybody who was remotely associated with the organization.
But the brunt of those frustrations ended up at the feet of Peter Chiarelli. He was the man who traded away Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson (who many people thought would be the Oilers top defenceman). But that trade turned out to be lopsided and favored the New Jersey Devils one year later.
