Former Edmonton Oilers enforcer Georges Laraque may come off as a tough guy with a lot of grit and aggression. However, beyond that exterior, one that collected over 1,100 PIM over his NHL career, he has a heart of gold, and even went to great length to save a young girl from being abducted.
According to CBC, Laraque was participating in a celebrity charity baseball game in Montréal, when he and his fellow players heard commotion from Jeanne-Mance park nearby.
Police say that a 7-year-old girl was with her parents in the park, when a man came up and grabbed the girl.
