The Edmonton Oilers recently acquired Adam Larsson in a trade that would send away long-time star left winger Taylor Hall, much to the chagrin of many fans. However, this was the right decision for General Manager Peter Chiarelli to make, because the stable, right-handed defenseman that we had been hoping for is now taking up one of our roster spots.
Larsson had the potential to go first-overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, but fell to fourth at the last minute. In that draft, Edmonton decided to select Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who has since been an underrated, but often injured, centre.
