EDMONTON - The Oilers' assistant coaching slate has been reduced by two.
Edmonton's National Hockey League club announced Thursday evening associate coach Keith Acton and assistant coach Craig Ramsay will not return for the 2015-16 season.
The moves come less than a month after the Oilers hired Todd McLellan as head coach. He replaced interim bench boss Todd Nelson, whose future with the organization is still unknown. Nelson had assumed Oilers duties in December after the team fired head man Dallas Eakins in December.
Acton had been with the Oilers the past two seasons, joining the club under Eakins.
