All indications point toward Todd McLellan, the man who led Team Canada to a Gold Medal at the recent IIHF tournament in Prague, will become the new head coach of the Edmonton Oilers, as early as tomorrow (Tuesday).
This may be the worst kept secret in the NHL, as the rumor has been rampant for weeks. But McLellan was quite properly close-lipped while coaching the national team. But with a Gold Medal now hanging around his neck, it would appear nothing is standing in his way, now.
It is hard not to be excited about this turn of events.
